On Wednesday we will be relocating to another RV park in Auburn, CA (about 10 miles from Lotus, CA where we have been staying). Auburn was one of the many gold mining towns in this area during the gold rush days. We will be there 2 1/2 weeks.
We took the back road to Auburn this afternoon and drove across the American River (there are several branches of the American River - north, middle and south). This old bridge hikers use now. There are numerous hiking trails in the area.
